From sunrise in the Far East to sunset in the furthest corner of the western hemisphere, people will join in this great celebration of yog today. The reach and spread of yog spans continents, cuts across differences of colour, class and creed. From the banks of the river Indus to every continent in the world, yoga has spread harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Let us commence this auspicious day with a melodious song.
[Importance of the Day]
Mrs Jadhav will deliver a short speech on the importance of Yoga Day.
[Yoga Postures]
In order to benefit fully from yog, to understand yog in its entirety, we must understand who is a yogi. A yogi is a person who is in harmony – with himself, his body, with his surroundings, with nature. Yog is the means to achieve that harmony. Let us now try to achieve this harmony by immersing ourselves with our surroundings. I would like to call Prithvi sir to start with our main programme.
[Principal Sir’s speech]
May I now request our respected Principal Sir to come up to the podium and say a few words on this grand occasion. Sir please…
[Vote of thanks]
Thank you everyone for participating on Yog Day. Let us now sing our national anthem.
[Conclusion]
Let us end this special assembly with the grand invocation of good health and peace – the Shanti Paath.
